ISSA Offshore Skipper

ISSA courses are unique in that theory and practice are seamlessly interwoven and as a consequence students learning is vastly improved. Sail in Asia's OIffshore Skipper is a course which requires candidates to have mastered the Collision regulations, Navigation (DR, EP, Fixes, GPS, Course to Steer etc), Tides and Currents and have a good knowledge of the ISSA Offshore Skipper Syllabus. It is highly recommended that students wishing to attend this course be experienced at least to ISSA Inshore Skipper or RYA Day Skipper standard.

This certificate is the globally recognised measure of competency for command of small power and sail vessels. An STCW 2010 Basic Safety Training is required and candidates may choose to do this training with Sail in Asia too. Qualification is by passing an externally moderated assessment.
